B. River Dee Bore

Glass eels spend time in the estuary of the river acclimatising from salt water to more fresh water. Here they change into brown elvers and are ready to enter the river. They choose dark night on an incoming tide.

A river bore is a strong high tide that pushes up against the rivers current. River Severn has a famous bore but our River Dee has a good one! It is definitely worth going to see!!
